After School and Homework Club

Education has always been one of the bedrocks of human endeavour and development. Obtaining quality education is a considerable achievement and should be a goal for all. Whilst government has been and is still playing a prominent role, other stakeholders such as not-for-profit organisations and the community at large must take active part and all efforts must be well coordinated to achieve the desirable end result of delivering the best possible outcomes for children, young people and their families.

The fact that efforts by all concerned with educating young children should be complementary cannot be overemphasised. The Oasis' ASAH vision aims to explore and annex the opportunities that exist between the school, government, parents and voluntary organisations to ensure that student's individual educational needs are followed and met. This can only be achieved in a wider sense through innovative programmes and projects focused at providing tailored supplementary support for individual students particularly those from disadvantaged areas of the city.

Oasis ASAH's laudable initiative aims to enhance students' attainment, achievement and progression. The project is targeted at students in key stage 2, key stage 3 and key stage 4.

In addition to contributing to achieving individually, it is also capable of boosting Wolverhampton's ability to compete nationally and possibly exceed national average in literacy, numeracy and science.

Oasis' ASAH is currently supported by qualified and experienced mainstream teachers (volunteers) with excellent reputation for quality, resourcefulness and friendly orientation toward teaching and learning. The Club is capable of generating employment for teaching assistants and individuals in related field coupled with the provision of opportunities for further and continuous professional development.
