Clothing Bank

The Oasis clothing bank serves as a connector of people. Those who have excess and unwanted clothing will be connected with those who have less and need more; and vice-versa. The clothing bank thus serve as a conduit where clothing change hands but this will not involve physical interaction between donors and recipients. Clothes are donated to the Oasis clothing bank, which then facilitates an equitable transfer to those who are interested. The bank provides the right cloths at the right time to those in need. Through the bank, clothes are recycled to maximise utilisation over their lifespan.

In terms of recipients, priority is given to those who are unemployed and living within the precincts of The LOVE Centre; whereas donations are accepted from any willing quarters. All clothes are checked for fitness of purpose, and where need be, washed, ironed and made presentable before passing on to recipients. Excess clothing is giving to UK charities or shipped abroad for free distribution.
